Happy New Year

Filed under: babbles, lil miss, ohana

Awww man I missed my 17 month update, all b/c of the holidays.

Mommy would officially like to announce that I am weaned completely. And it went well. I kid with her and say “DohDoh” every now and then but I know I can’t have them anymore. I have been rubbing/ caressing/ squeezing Mommy’s arms though when I get sleepy. It soothes me for a lil bit.

Christmas came and went. On Christmas eve we spent with Daddy’s side of the family at Gamma Gustie’s and Gamma Mary was there. It was small but fun, and nice too. Me and Kuya got lots and lots of attention.

Then Christmas Day we went to Mama and Papa’s house where it was loud and noisy. Mommy said not everyone who is usually around this time of year was there. It didn’t matter to me none, the people that matter to ME the most were there and as usual there was lots of nummy things to eat!

And today being New Year’s eve, we went to Mama’s and Papa’s again early in the day to pick up and grub on some Pilipino desserts. Mommy talked Mama into going to some lady’s store, “Mang Hilda”, and there were nummy in my tummy desserts, purple ones and orange ones. I like ‘em. Round things are supposed to be good for New Year’s. Ask Mommy why. When we left their house though, Mommy was sad :( , she was crying to herself and Kuya kept asking her why. All I remember is seeing Mommy hug Mama for a long time.

I hope everything is okay.

In other news my word count is increasing by leaps and bounds EVERYDAY.

*pops collar*

[lilmiss] Or maybe I should pop mommy’s collar. Once again, I won! I won at the karate Halloween party for best costume in the 3 and under category :) . I can’t help that I’m so cute ;) . I got a cool little award to add to small collection. YAY! Mommy always has me at my best and knows what works for me.

Tonight was Halloween, and there were a lot of other pirates out there, but none as cute as me. Or at least that’s what my Daddy says. Mommy and Daddy were checking out all the houses where we were and Daddy at one point even broke out his wallet to buy someone’s house. WOW! Wouldn’t that be neat. It was crowded out there, but lucky me I got to sit in my stroller and just watch everyone. Mommy kept running into people, or maybe people were just getting in her way?! But it was fun. I got to eat some cookies that this fun little girl gave me. And mommy let me have some candy corn too. I still like the real corn though. You know the stuff you have to eat off that funny stick or the kind that comes out of the can, or maybe even the one from the bag that’s super duper cold. All I know, is that Kuya had fun and that’s important to me.

The holidays are coming soon. The day where I get to eat a big bird. YUMMAY!

Happy Birthday to Kuya!

Filed under: babbles, lil man, ohana

[lil miss] Today is my Kuya’s 7th birthday. Happy Birthday to him! Today we went to eat at Hoot.er’s. YUM! I really like those chicken wings there. We walked around with all the other people that don’t live in Sa.n Fran.cis.co. Man those people are s-l-o-w when they walk! Daddy and kuya shared an ice cream and they only gave me a little bit :( . Then we saw those barking things that lie out in the water. Mommy got kuya and Daddy some funny lookin apples, but we didn’t get to eat those. We stopped at Great Grandma G’s house and Grandma M was there. She’s funny. We came home and we took naps. YAY for naps! Even though Kuya didn’t wanna go mommy made hiim to karate. He was crying worse than me the whole time, but he ended up having a fun time. Grandma M showed up there too. Then Kuya wanted to have white soup for dinner so we went to Stone.stown and ate yummy soup and bread. Then off to eat free ice cream. I hope kuya had a good day b/c I know I did. We been eating good food A LOT.

The party of all parties

[lil miss] Our party was a big hit, even though I slept through a bit of it. Poor mommy was so tired. She did a wonderful job though and everyone kept telling her how amazing it was. Kuya’s friends weren’t expecting quite a shindig. The food was enough to feed an army. We each had our own cakes :D !

And man we are loved!!! Our house looked worse than Christmas! Mommy is still working on the thank you cards!

Mommy and Daddy said not to expect another party quite as big. It’s okay though. I won’t!

Thank you Mommy and Daddy!!!!

Free Wednesday!!!!

[lil miss]

YAY!!! It was field trip day according to Auntie Nurse, I heard the mommies talking on the phone last night trying to figure out where we were going today. And we ended up at the zoo!!! It ended up being a nice day in the city too. Not too hot. Not too foggy. It was me, Mommy, Daddy, The Tootles Family (ya know my boyfriend ;) ), and the Discount Family!!! 6 big peoples and 4 little ones.

Mommy was excited b/c she saw the little giraffes that weren’t even a month old yet, kinda like Baby Dimples… and he’s not a month yet either. Those babies were already standing on their own. Baby Dimples slept in his stroller, and ya didn’t even know he was in there. When we went to look at the big hairy gorillas, they were kinda scary and funny at the same time. We were watching the “big guy” and he was by the window. And he banged on the window, kinda like how I bang my toys. The lady on the other side of the window looked scared. . Better her than me! There were some not so pleasant smelling aminals too, somebody needed to change their diapers or wipe their tooshies b/c they smelled worse than I do sometimes ;) . I think it was those big grey ones… the hippo and rhino. ICK! Stinky! Next time Mommy said we can go pet the aminals. I don’t know about that one, b/c I don’t even really like that big hairy thing at Mama’s house :( .

I had fun though. There are some funny looking aminals out there, Mommy and Daddy said there were some funky looking humans there too. Oopsie. I think Auntie Tootles even took some pictures of them. Uh oh!

I really like hanging out with my friends. Just wait til I can walk, like Auntie Dimples… I’ll show ALL of them around next time ;) . I think the next field trip is going to be at Santa Cruz. YAY! I can’t wait!

T-e-n, 10

[lil miss] okay maybe it was more like 7, but it seemed like a long time to me. 7 seconds of standing alone, with nothing but me and my body. my feet on the ground. no one holding my hands. nothing to hold on to. GO MEEEEEEE!!!!

Actually, Mommy was helping me. She was sitting on the floor with me and we were playing our silly sing songy games. She was holding me up for a lil bit and then she let go. And I did it. All on my own. Like I said, GOOOOO MEEEEEEEEE!!!!

In other things, I attended my very first wedding. Yeah I got to go along on this one. Kuya had to stay home though, he wasn’t invited :( . I think it would have been tons more fun if he were there too, we should’ve just brought him. There was an extra seat at our table! Daddy had to DJ Auntie Bananas wedding. It wasn’t all too exciting for me. People dressed up and looking pretty. Got to hang out with all my aunties and uncles. People telling me that they wanted to bite me or pinch me. Thank goodness Mommy was there to protect me. Ate Dimples was there and we danced and hugged and then she would scream in my face. Didn’t bother me none. I danced with Uncle Dance Dance. Well he held me and HE danced while I just sat in his arms. It was fun. He’s getting married too, and Mommy said we’re all going to that one so maybe by then I’ll be walking and I can dance on my own like Ate Dimples could. Oh yeah and I met Baby Dimples too, Ate Dimples lil brother. I am no longer the youngest one in the bunch! It was fun! Mommy keeps saying 1 down, 3 more to go!

Mini update

Filed under: keiki, lil miss, lil man, ohana

I think I’m finally getting tired, having a baby around, and NOT wanting to be on the computer is settling in. I didn’t mean I’m tired of having her around, I’m just feeling a bit rundown.

Lil man’s first week back is what is sparking this, I’m sure. I’ve had the job of taking him in the mornings this week b/c S has had to fill in for someone in the mornings. I also have to make sure homework gets done afterschool in addition to making sure he’s bathed and fed and in bed by 8:30PM. And then there’s karate that he has to get to 2x a week. And with the feeding thing… sometimes I even cook. HA.

I’ve been getting up at 6:30AM b/c I’m just not the type to roll out of bed, brush my teeth, and wash my face and out the door. I’m just not. I need my morning shower to wake me and get me going!!! So if the lil miss doesn’t need to be fed and I can sneak out of the bed without her noticing then I go about my morning business in addition to getting the lil man out of bed before 7AM. Then there’s the arm pulling of making him eat and finish his breakfast before 7:30AM so that by that time he can brush his teeth and get dressed. And hopefully all this gets done by 7:50AM so that we’re out of the house by 7:55AM.

Yeah I’m a stickler like that, but that’s MY routine. Oh yeah and somewhere in there I have to fit in washing up the lil miss, changing her AND feeding her.

No wonder I’m tired. LMAO.

Next week and the ones after, I’m hoping that S can pick up some morning routines. I do like bringing J to school, but doing it 5x a week is really taking it’s toll on me. So I’m thinking 3x, and most especially Mondays b/c that’s when announcements are made.

Lil man is of course loving school. Which is a good thing :) !!! His new teacher is really strict compared to last year’s. She has a tally system, red tallies are bad and blues are good. At the end of the week, if you attain 5 good tallies you get something out of the treasure box. Lil man has got NO tallies… and his response, “It’s okay mommy, I’m just a regular kid.” Blue tallies would be nice, but no tallies is better than red ones. Heh.

Lil miss is definitely getting more interactive. She’s smiling and recognizing voices and faces. When the lil man comes in in the mornings and talks, she looks for him. We’ve been spending QT time with my ‘rents a lot too and she’s been cooing and bonding with my mom, which is just toooooo cute.
